e-SENSE
MOVE

e-Sense move is designed primarily for stairwells and is based on microwave technology with multiple luminaires communicating wirelessly with each other. e-Sense Move does not require any control cables.

Advantages

  • Light only when and where needed
  • Energy-saving
  • Quick installation
  • Wireless communication between luminaires . no control cables needed
  • Can be individually programmed for optimum utilisation

Functions

  • Occupancy detector
  • Absence dimming with switch-off
  • Wireless control

The system is duplex and involves all luminaires acting as both master and slave, depending on which luminaire detects presence. When a luminaire detects presence it sends information on to one or more luminaires, which light up. Each sensor can actively “listen” to 15 other sensors.

e-Sense Move is excellent for use, for example, in stairwells of buildings with many floors. In order to optimise energy savings you can choose just to switch on the luminaire on the level above and below the floor where presence is detected.

e-Sense Move can even optimise the lighting of areas such as garages, where people might otherwise feel unsafe when the lights are fully off. Individual settings for each luminarie mean that basic lighting can be used in the dark areas of the premises.

    e-sense ORGANIC

A smart, energy-saving lighting control for open plan offices. Each fixture has a sensor that responds to presence and daylight. Each sensor shares, receives and transmits information to the nearby light fittings.

e-Sense Organic is based on distributed intelligence where each luminaire receives and transmits information about presence and light level. Since each fixture contains a sensor e-Sense Organic provides a very sensitive and energy-efficient system solution. Without wiring, external sensors, routers and control panels the installation of e-Sense Organic is both simple and cost effective.

    The Sensor Node
At the heart of the system is the Sensor Node. Integrated into each luminaire during manufacture, each Sensor Node contains a motion sensor, infrared transmitter, infrared receiver, ambient light and an intelligent microprocessor.

    OPTIMISING WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE

With the app on your smartphone and an IR dongle multiple configuration options for each individual luminaire in the system can be made: Personalities

    • Light levels
    • Timing setting
    • Dwell times
    • Sensitivity of the sensor
    • IR transmission strength
    • Activation and setting of daylight control / constant light

    DALI

DALI control system is a complete building-wide digital lighting control system. DALI is the Digital Addressable Lighting Interface. It enables easy and intelligent management of lighting equipment.

DALI is described as a protocol for communications and control of lighting equipment. This includes Control Gear (not just ballasts but also LED drivers, switching devices, emergency inverters, colour control and so on) and Control Devices (buttons, rotaries and sliders, presence detectors, light sensors…) as well as the requirements for bus power supplies, which may be standalone devices or integrated with Control Gear or Control Devices. In principle, a DALI lighting system can have components from many different suppliers, all working from the same standard.

With the right choice of individual DALI components an extremely wide range of requirements can be met, from operating the lighting system from a simple light switch to lighting management systems for entire office complexes with thousands of light sources.

The new standardisation means that there are no longer any restrictions on the application of this technology. Any light source, including incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, high-intensity discharge lamps as well as LEDs, can be controlled irrespective of whether they are installed in an office, a restaurant or a street light.
